”Of course! You’re not suspicious in any way what so ever,” Saaga went along with his joke, grinning all the while. She remembered the first time they’d met and how she’d acted around him, not knowing whether to trust him or not. It was not because he did not seem reliable, more because it was hard to figure out what was going through his mind at any given time. Maybe once she really got to know him, she’d be able to do that to some extent, but so far she’d only gotten glimpses of his thought process. Perhaps they were both that way, somewhat guarded in their need to divulge information, or she was just projecting herself onto him.
She smiled at him happily as he leaned forward to take the bite and chuckled at his comment, ears and neck slightly flushed with red, which wasn’t really due to embarrassment.
She took another bite of food, letting the silence just sit there while she thought of an answer. She didn’t think his approach could be classified as desperate since he was always very physical with her and no stranger to double entendres and innuendo. But somehow he still managed to come across as more pushy than before, which Saaga didn’t take offence at. In fact she found it oddly thrilling.
“Hmm, I think I would’ve been rather disappointed if you weren’t going to do that,” she replied and continued eating, trying to act like what she’d just said wasn’t too big of a deal, even if she did feel a bit excited.
She glanced at Narye and wondered if he felt the same. Putting that one night aside, they didn’t really have that kind of a relationship. It was not because she didn’t want it, but circumstances were that because of work she was usually tired and worn out and like he’d put it ‘antsy’, none of which put her in the mood for physical intimacy.

Narye more than felt the same as Saaga, which is to stay that he was a little more than just "excited". Hearing her reply, spiced with same undercurrent of innuendo that he had been putting out, sent a bit of a rush through him. It was exactly the kind of reply that he had wanted to hear from her.
A long time had passed since he felt this kind of... pushy urge, to give a voice to the physical aspect of their relationship. It was like that one night together had him hooked and he wanted more, but the more civil side of him had won out since then and made him try and respect Saaga's boundries. He had slipped a few times and made a double entendre or two but, to be frank, he hadn't exactly known if Saaga felt the same desire that he did. Between her stress-of-work and her inexperience, it was difficult to guage. Now, he knew. All sorts of thoughts were racing through his head now.
He had to clear his throat to clear his head, otherwise he might have gotten lost in them, forgetting that the real deal was sitting just across the table from him.
"Well then... *ahem* I suppose we have dessert already picked out, huh?
Even he had to admit that was a cheesy line, but with the knowledge that Saaga just might be as, erm, eager as he was, Narye was put a little off his usual game. Suddenly he wanted to get through dinner as fast as he could just so they get out and spend some quality time together. Where that would happen was a question mark that Narye wasn't even considering that point. However, he kept telling himself to remain cool and not scarf his food like a starving man.
"I gotta say, Saaga I kinda like seeing you all... riled-up like this..."

”Dessert? Really? That is so corny,” Saaga laughed at his little one liner. She almost expected to hear a drum roll or something, the line was that embarrassing. Since he usually put some more thought into his flirting Saaga wondered if he was a little rattled by how she’d responded to him. She kind of liked the idea of making him feel uneasy in different ways since it allowed her to witness a side of him she’d not seen before. She thought he was kind of cute acting that way, though she didn’t think most men wanted to be called that. The last time she’d told him that, he didn’t seem to mind, but then again they’d both been drunk.
She took a couple more bites and washed them down with a drink, taking her time and enjoying the rare treat of visiting a nice restaurant. Food was all about enjoyment and she was in no real hurry to finish eating and leave, even if there was ‘dessert’ forthcoming at some place else.
She looked up from her plate at his comment and raised an eyebrow. Was she riled up? She had not really stopped to consider how she seemed like to others. Guess she was more forward with him than usually.
“I’m easily stirred up if I’m comfortable with people, so you must be doing something right,” Saaga replied with a little smirk. Of course she knew what that something was.
She liked that he didn’t try to put up a front with her and no matter how much she disliked the thought of his wife, she appreciated his honesty on the matter. She suspected most people would not have shared such information until directly questioned about it. It would have been so easy for him to keep quiet and just let her bask in her ignorance, but he hadn’t. After mulling it over for some time, she had figured that was the crucial point when she’d really started to trust him.
She thought about standing up and leaning forward to kiss him but that seemed more than a little hazardous and inappropriate what with food on the table and everything. So instead she decided to pay him back in kind for earlier, brushing against his leg with her foot, her eyes a light with mischief.
"Still liking it?" she asked, all innocent and smiling.

He would have been surprised if Saaga hadn't picked up on just how... substandard his little dessert remark was when he said it. So that made two of them then. Of course it was embarrassing and below the usual stuff he said. But how could he feel ashamed for something that was so bad that it was good? So all he could for a response was give an exaggerated shrug and a "I dunno" kind of face.
Narye was starting to have a hard time concentrating on savoring his dish, which was very good in its own right, considering that that he and Saaga were playing the flirting game. Delicious food, or a tasty girl? Hm...
Though it was nice to hear that Saaga was comfortable around Narye, especially after the bar debacle. Maybe this is what they really needed. Both of them. Just some time set aside for the two of them to be with each other, with no work or other stresses to get in the way. Well, after spending some time just really getting to know each other in smaller meeting beforehand.
His reply would've been something to the effect of "I just might be the right man for you," when his words were gasped back into his throat once he felt Saaga's touch on him. Narye wasn't expecting her to return the touch and he simply froze and looked back into her playful eyes. It would have been an understatement that Narye was simply "turned-on" at that point. But maybe she could already tell...
"I'm really liking it."

She noticed him starting to say something, but as soon as she touched him it seemed as if he was struck dumb. The look on his face was very satisfactory and Saaga found herself grinning rather shamelessly at what effects her teasing was having on him. Usually he was the one doing the insinuating and coming closer for a touch or two, with her being the prudish spoilsport reminding him of them being out in public and a varied selection of other freely available excuses. But this time she didn’t have to worry about work or anything like that and she was quickly finding out that playing the aggressive role was kind of fun.
“That’s great. Consider it a preview,” she said slyly and withdrew her foot after playing around some more.
Suppressing her grin was surprisingly hard, maybe she was enjoying this way more than she should have. Continuing on with the dinner was also a task of its own, with her mind already racing towards all possible conclusions the night could have. But some training in patience would no doubt do her good. It was her number one worst vice, being impatient and brash and doing things in the fit of the moment, rather than thinking things through and making a well-reasoned decision.
“So, where do you want to go after? I think we need to take a tram if you want us to go to your place,” she asked him, trying her best to sound as calm as possible as if this was just another bit of normal every day conversation, though maybe for some people it really was.
She wondered if this was what their relationship would always be like, with this strange tension constantly hanging about them. One would think it would end up getting tiresome at some point. She tried thinking of other relationships she’d witnessed close hand, but stopped immediately after her parents came to mind. She did not ever want to think about them behaving in this way.

A preview? The way Saaga had worded her statement sent Narye's mind reeling and he was at a loss for words or actions when she took her touch back, leaving him feeling a little disappointed. Especially since she had taken the time to play around down there before taking her foot back. This young lady was turning out to be quite the tease and Narye was loving it to no end. He had no problem being the one to make most of the moves between the two of them, but he would gladly take a step back if she was going to take the reins like that more often.
A little tension in their relationship, specifically the intimate kind, was something that Narye personally thought was a good thing for them. It was the spice to a relationship. Of course times without tension was good too, allowing them to just kickback and relax and enjoy each other's company. But those other times it could really get them excited and anxious to enjoy each other's company.
"Yeah. It's too far. I don't think I'd be able to control myself on the ride over..."
Judging by the redness on Narye's smiling face, and the way the hunger in his eyes was now more focused on Saaga than his food, he was having trouble getting his composure back as they ate.
"Well, there's a nice section of the Park nearby. Perhaps a nice private 'walk' would do us some good."

"Yeah. It's too far. I don't think I'd be able to control myself on the ride over..."
Saaga had no trouble at all believing that statement. The man had trouble keeping his hands to himself even when he was capable of controlling himself and not completely enslaved by his urges. But she didn’t think it was necessarily a bad thing in this case. Sure, it would be very obscene for two people to engage in such activities in a possibly busy tram, but she failed to see how a park would be any different. Maybe there would be less people, but there was still not much privacy to be had. She was starting to think he had a thing for exhibitionism or something.
“You want us to get arrested for displaying lewd behavior in public? Can’t say I’ve ever gone to jail for that reason,” she asked with a slightly amused tone, finishing the last of her seaweed rolls. She placed the chopsticks on the now empty plate and pushed it forward a little, to make room for her elbows so she could lean on her arms.
She had graced the police station with her presence more than enough times to have a certain familiarity with the place and a dislike for the people who worked there. It was likely that dislike was mutual, since most of the police officers she’d encountered were stone faced sourpusses with little to no sense of humor.
She would have suggested going to her place, since it was a little closer, but there were five very good reasons why that was definitely not an option and she didn’t want to run into any of them. At times like these Saaga really wished she lived alone, not that she didn’t wish it otherwise. The park was suddenly starting to appeal to her.
“I suppose someone must keep the voyeurs happy,” she chuckled, though in her thoughts she kind of wished that particular task didn’t have to befall her.

"Oh? You've been to the big house before? Color me surprised."
Finding out that Saaga might have gone to jail once or twice steered him away from their very personal talks for a moment. Of all the things he thought he knew about her, going to jail was not one of them. For a girl that talked brash and was very independent, Narye just couldn't see her being that much of a troublemaker. Not that he figured that she was some kind of hardened criminal. Of course, she could have just as easily not have gone to jail and he was misreading her words.
The little amorous distraction that was Saaga made Narye finish his food after she did, slightly mirroring her actions. Except he leaned back in his chair and looked her over, like he was trying to decide where to start first.
"What can I say? I'm a bit of a showman."
He chuckled at the fact that he had been suggesting they get initimate in less-than-private places. Maybe he was something of an exhibitionist and he didn't know it.
"'Course, if you're not comofortable with it, I'm sure we could find a place to spend the night nearby."
Narye remembered that Saaga had a place too, but it wasn't exactly of her own. He couldn't recall exactly how many roommates she had, but she had implied before that the place was way too small and frankly only one roommate was too many to risk.

Ah, she had forgotten all about the fact that she had not told Narye anything about her little run-ins with the police. She bit her lip feeling a tad embarrassed. This was not how she had wanted to tell him, just spontaneously blurting it out there. But what was done was done and she could not take it back. Luckily it didn’t seem like he was judging her because of this new found information and for that she was grateful, though a little apprehensive as well since she did not know if that would continue to be the case.
“Heh…Yeah, a few times. I participated in some street protests that got a little out of hand. The second time I got a fine as well for ‘disrespecting an officer’,” she told him, her tone of voice tense and careful like a cat circling a hot plate. She wasn’t sure as to what his reaction would be, so she tried being more mindful of what she said. She really did not want to dive into a deeper mess than she already had, and a mess it was since she doubted he appreciated the knowledge of her having spent a couple of nights at the station. Most people didn’t.
“Don’t worry; I’m not going to stir up any more trouble. I hate being in confined places,” she assured him with a little smile and watched him watching her, feeling like she was one of those glass vases master Zhang kept in the showroom, just sitting in a cabinet and being ogled at by the world.
“You’re right, it doesn’t feel too comfortable, but I might actually have a place in mind. I don’t know if it’s any better than a park, but I’ve been there lots of times to see the sights,” she suggested, liking the idea the more she thought of it. Of course there was a risk of being discovered, but all the times she’d been there, the place had been abandoned. And the view was great.

Narye nodded approvingly at her explanation.
"A little civil disobedience, eh? I can definitely respect that, Saaga."
Even a guy like Narye could out pick out Saaga's apprehensiveness about the subject of her visit to jail. Most people would rather that particular skeleton be kept in the closet, and she had accidently left the door a hair for Narye to see in. But she was forthcoming with an explanation and it wasn't anything he would find offensive. Sounded like a couple minor offenses, and participating in a protest seemed to cancel out at least one of them in Narye's eyes. All in all, it just added more facets to Saaga, instead of turning him off from her.
It would have to take a confession of a double murder to turn Narye off at that point anyway, and even then... Saaga was just so... Everything. The way she looked and dressed, the way she spoke now, and her little teasing movements. This dinner date was turning out to be quite an interesting one.
"Well then, I'll pay and we'll be on our way. I'd like to see the place you have in mind. I like surprises."
Narye wasn't too put off by her confession of being a little wary of the prospect of, uh, possibly them expressing their relationship in such a public area. That kind of thing was not something most just jumped right into, if ever. But the idea that Saaga had some other place in mind for them to be alone, and from the sound of it, the place had quite the view.
