::a past to remember[/font]
Inah was born into the Northern Water Tribe along with her twin sister who’s the first born of the two. Their parents were happily married, despite their marriage being an arranged one, and both of them had a happy childhood.
Still, no matter how much the two sisters were alike in terms of looks, they could not have been more different in personality if they tried. Where her sister was quiet and shy, Inah was loud and outgoing, and it also showed when the two sisters started their water bending training as healers.
Inah's sister was happy with just learning healing, but Inah wasn't satisfied with just that. She wanted to learn how to fight, but given the customs of the Northern Water Tribe, she wasn't allowed to. That was why she began training in secret.
Shortly after she turned sixteen, she got engaged as it was custom for all young women. The man she was supposed to have married was a the son of a good friend of her parents and she really liked him, but before it happened, her secret water bending training was discovered, and she was banished from the Northern Water Tribe.
One might think that this would be where Inah's story ends, but there's more.
Not knowing where she could possibly go, the young girl finally decided to head to Republic City. After all, it was a place where people from all nations, bender and non-benders alike lived together in harmony, so it was the only place she could go.
After having lived in the city for some time, Inah came across a poster advertising a recruitment meeting for the United Forces, and she decided to go.
When she first signed up for the United Forces, people laughed at her, telling her that she would never last, but that just made her all the more determined to prove people wrong, and eventually, she rose to the rank of general.
