So I was thinking that it would be fun to organize a site-wide event, get some exciting things happening on here (not that there isn't already, but it's always good to have more!) What kinds of things would you guys like to see as an event. Some examples would be something simple like a festival that people can just come and socialize, or something with a little more action, like gang wars or something like that.
We want your ideas! Reply to this with anything you might think would be fun to get going on here!

I think having a site-wide event would be a really good idea. But, something IC might not be fair to everyone, because their character's might not be able to interact. How about something like a two-month aniversary? (I know, it's a little cheesy. But wow, it actually is today! Two months exact since the site's been opened)

I've been giving this thought too. Here are my ideas:
1. Festival - masked ball event. Hosted in City Central(?), the event is open to all citizens and visitors of Republic City. There would be temporary food stands where the local restaurants can display their best and advertise, a local band playing on an improvised stage, a table section on the side and the general dance/socialization area.
People are required to come wearing disguises. There could be a dance competition that requires pairs to enter and at the end an impartial judge would award the winning pair with a monetary prize.
Or they could be not masked.
2. In order to show their power, a gang would have abducted several Republic City children and would be keeping them captive until whatever demands they have are met (be they political or ransom related).
The government doesn't know how to respond so a group of local citizens arm up and go on a mission of invading their hideout and rescuing the children. (There would be subtle recruitment posters or something).
3. An explosion of unknown cause wrecks a local hospital and its reconstruction becomes a community effort.

I love the idea of a forum-wide event. It gives us something to work off of. I like the idea of a festival of some sort, or anything with the involvement of gangs.

I really like the Masked Ball idea. I had that thought about a month back, and I mentioned it to Jennifer but I don't know if she was listening or whatnot. I felt like one of the richer people in the city could just throw a party just-cuz and it would be really cute.

I actually really like the idea of a masquerade as well. But I also like the idea of something to do with the gangs, maybe we can organize something with both of them? Maybe the party can be crashed by gang members or something? That might be too much for one even, we can save the gang stuff for another time if you guys want.
I also can't wait for you to be back, Ellora!!!
I'm thinking that we can get this even set up starting on friday, what do you guys think? |
