Though not naturally gifted from birth, Takeo is an exceptionally skilled earthbender. Since he was little he started using earthbending to defend himself and trained at it for as long as he could remember and though he lacks the brute strength and physique of most earthbenders, he is quite a formidable foe, utilizing his incredible speed of bending and movement as well as his inane agility to perform incredible feats of bending prowess. He fought in more than one street fight to know how to fight and bend properly and has learned not only from first hand beatings, but from watching and being taught by masters throughout his life. Though his style is very unique in it’s speed and strength, it relies greatly on small bending techniques and is more precise such as using the ground under you to move faster, shifting the ground under his opponent and turning it to quicksand, he has great ability over earth, he can control small, tiny and even massive areas of earth with ease and only needs great concentration when not in direct contact with the ground. He is most notably gifted in utilizing his earthbending to create massive clouds of dust for escapes.
A technique he learned in his days as a professional thief, Takeo can utilize the earth’s seismic sense technique to detect objects, people and sizes as well as movement with some concentration, though not as precise as some, he can detect small objects and map out corridors and buildings for his use for thievery. He often uses the ground under him to fire him into the sky allowing him to jump insane distances and move much faster by sliding on the ground like it was ice.
Having been a police officer for a small period of time, Takeo learned a great deal of metalbending and then proceeded to train himself for a long period of time to be able to utilize it to a much greater extent, most notably he uses the steel bracelet on his hand and the steel wire concealed in it for help in fighting, he can also bend metal when in direct contact with it, able to change it into various shapes and move it like it was a piece of clay.

Takeo may not appear very intimidating at first, being only about 6 feet and 0 inches, nor is he very muscular looking. A relatively normal looking guy; he looks a tad skinny perhaps, but not underweight. He is even a little feminine looking, with several delicate features of his. But he is by no means frail or weak, which becomes obvious when one notices his muscles, which are not unhealthy pronounced. He is lanky as well as skinny, and his skin is rather pale, mostly due because of his natural pale complexion, also possessing deep blue eyes. Skin is free of blemishes and scars, only adding to his alluring appearance.
His face is soft yet expressive allowing him to be both comedic and serious with the right circumstances at hand, his face is starting to slim showing signs of aging. Takeo’s neutral body position is slightly unrefined and slumped showing his conditions growing up in a lax society. He has a wide mouth and jaw that is set firmly in place. He seems to be overly light hearted though people wouldn’t be half wrong in assuming this. For a man his age he stands at a decent height and is growing into his frame. His body lacks the calories that would have developed from hard labour or manual effort. Takeo aim has the appearance of the average young adult; he is rather more twig like then other people his age. Dark brown eyes void of faith and desire his eyes mimic the structure of twin black holes. They glisten with memories and emotions concealed behind them. The depths of these ravenous holes deprived of festivity have grown so deep into a plague that developing emotion has become inevitable, so it's best to make believe there is such ability in these incomparable eyes. Takeo's gaze is usually laid back giving him an even more laidback appearance.
Takeo has dark brown hair, which he usually keeps short and rarely pays any great deal of attention to. Exceptionally different Takeo’s hair is a mix of golden and dark brown giving it a somewhat light brown appearance. There has always been a unique growth pattern in his hair for his bangs split evenly at the central point or peak of his hair and trickle down both sides of his face in a disorderly arrangement. These clumps of hair that decorate the walls of his veneer are layered in a distinct intensity, and so much so that each layer is easily seen without straining the eyes. Aside from his bangs the rest of Takeo’s hair is another riotous theme itself. On the back side of his scalp the strands or grouping of hair jut out in arbitrary directions in similar divergent lengths, when he doesn’t feel like cutting or shaving it. It’s very rare to see him have short hair or a shaved head, usually he’ll carry around his uncombed and uncut hair until it gets too out of hand.
Though usually keeping himself cleanly shaved and presentable, Takeo generally always keeps a small patch of facial hair on his chin adding to his dashing appearance. He generally likes wearing light clothing, easy to manoeuvre and jump around him, something that he usually does quite a lot of. He wears a white tunic, usually with the sleeves rolled back just to his forearms or elbows, revealed a metal, steel wristband on his wrist, that contains a very long steel wire that he uses his metalbending on. Along with his white tunic he black pants tucked into light, brown leather boots perfect for bending due to their closeness to the skin and lightness. And on top of his white tunic he usually wears a dyed blue fireproof leather vest to protect him in a fight. Around his waist he has a leather belt, on the side of which he has a pouch filled with all manner of things from lock picks to small steel balls and firecrackers. For extra protection, he carries a knife concealed in his boot.

Takeo generally appears aloof and childish while at the same time laidback. Takeo is full of adventure and a drive to be the best of the best, all the while remaining furiously loyal to his friends and loved ones. Self-centered to a nearly idiotic extent, he will rarely do anything required of him or perform any sort of duties and will rarely even lift a finger to save someone he cares for, unless those close to him urge him to act. He has difficulty seeing the good in others, and often finds himself convinced that, no matter the generous capacity of a person, there is always a secret evil agenda hidden between the lines of their actions. However, he is often cheerful and difficult to pull down, no matter his surrounding environment, and has always tried to friendly and social even from his early childhood, although he was usually rejected due to his nature Takeo keeps his inner feelings to himself. Takeo isn’t very heroic, often concerning himself only with his own wellbeing and very rarely concerning himself with the wellbeing of others, giving only a small glimmer or thought to the wellbeing of his friends and partners. While trying to hold a cold and cool exterior Takeo is quite sullen and lonely inside, having had no real love as a child, he tries to fill his sadness with booze, women and alcohol.
He's witty, smart, and yet at the same time can be a bit idiotic sometimes. He has a charming personality, but also comes off as an idiot to others. He was raised by himself and was taught himself to be an outcast and how to act around people depending on how much he wants to insult them. Although he tends to be a very big flirt with the women, Takeo actually tries to come off as a cool and cold and yet friendly person so no one would try to mend his lonely heart. He's also easily guilt-ed into things. He tends to shows signs, perhaps even trauma, through the experiences he went through while living with the type of parents he had, and can often be found mentioning something about his own past and wild adventures. Although he seems genuinely frightened of his inheritance, his house and his duties he tends to joke and exaggerate; knowing that he probably wouldn’t be where he is today if it weren’t for his noble birth. He's a bound of energy and can't seem to sit still, he loves combat, and he loves a good laugh. He enjoys the company of others, and will go out of his way to help those dear to him. He tends to take action first before thinking through things, so he can be very blunt and straightforward depending on the situation.
But in the inside Takeo has his insecurities and they are not as well hidden or maintained as some however. Hard-headed as well as a bit depressing his outer appearance can be described as a lost, sullen child on the verge of self-destruction. His only refuge is gambling and drinking as well as the few, happy fragment memories of the past. He is an enduring young adult but at times beats himself up about events he could not alter and ends up discouraging himself more often then not. Takeo can be very distant, even as he tries to keep himself detached someone or something manages to infiltrate his defenses and try to mend his broken heart. As mentioned before Takeo tries to act cold and cool though that is only an act as in reality he is very shy and lonely, he will usually dump his insecurities on his friends and want them to make him feel better about himself and his past. Takeo is not quick to show his emotions to anyone seemingly as if he shall always have an ever present air of calmness, thoughtfulness. If in example he may be angry with someone, he isn’t the type of man to outright say he is, or complain and yell at you, but will often display his displeasure in other means. However, he often acts on emotion instead of rationality which gets him into trouble.
Takeo isn’t the type to man up for his responsibilities. Some may call him lazy, others childish, however Takeo doesn’t care about power or war or House rivalry or even court drama, he wants to enjoy life to its fullest. Though genuinely frightened by the things that his done and frightened of facing his destiny, Takeo will play it off that it’s just not his problem. Though a gifted bender, Takeo wishes no glory and seeks no titles for him, finding it more amusing to overplay his prowess to gain the attention of others, most notably of the female gender. He is hard to predict and even harder to control, however once he sets his mind to it, Takeo has a tendency of reaching his goals and is often hard to discourage from it. Though he likes to portray himself as a brave and dashing, he in truth enjoys living too much to face off against a dragon for a fair maiden. Many would call him without moral, and they wouldn’t not be mistaken to do so- for he cares little about what others think and does what he wishes in the heat of the moment, he rarely has moral issues with the things he decides to do and rarely will he show regret or restrain in his actions or his tongue for that matter.

Takeo was born to a firebender and an earthbender, that’s pretty much all he knows about his parents, they arrived to republic city looking for a better life for themselves and their newly born son, they raised him until he was about five years old and as he was turning his sixth year, they were brutally killed in a robbery of their apartment. The police soon came and told him that his parents were gone and though he doesn’t remember them, he quite clearly remembers crying a lot when he was told. The police took him to an orphanage where he spent the next three years of his life, living in a small contained room with ten other children that constantly bullied him because he was always quiet and sad, due to the death of his parents, and then at day they’d work- they’d clean the orphanage, and do other various chores that bordered child labour.
He remembers the orphanage as the most miserable thing in his life, good thing that it so happened that someone burned it down, not wasn’t Takeo, some other kid had just found out he was a firebender and began running around throwing fireballs everywhere, which of course ended in a massive fire that Takeo barely managed to escape with his life, the boy that started the fire died and so did the orphanage administration as he watched the orphanage burn he couldn’t help but think that he’d have nowhere to go now and so, frightened about what might happen to him, he ran off with some other kids to find themselves a better life in the city. That plan fell pretty flat on its face a couple of days later when they were starving the streets, begging for food. Then they found out that the streets were a pretty brutal place when two of the orphanage kids got stabbed to death, another one beaten to death by a drunk and another one set on fire by the triad members as a sick laugh.
To provide food for themselves, the children began stealing, Takeo was the first one to do it, stealing a loaf of bread from the market and bringing it back to the others to share, and so they all began doing it, then it moved on from bread loaves to pouches filled with yuans and other accessories, of course, it wasn’t something they learned over night, Takeo himself was beaten half to death at least a dozen times when he was doing it, other time he managed to outrun his pursuers, but one time he didn’t, they cornered him and Takeo threw a punch, which in turn launched a rock directly into a police officers face, letting Takeo escape.
After that, Takeo began practicing his earthbending, to escape from people trying to catch him for stealing, he learned how to scale buildings, he learned how to steal better, how to jump long distances and how to survive. Soon the small group of kids split from each other, some forming groups, others just fading away, Takeo couldn’t find a place for himself, he lived alone, on a rooftop of an abandoned building that had a make shift roof over it. He had almost died too many times, but he survived, not just through learning to earthbend to protect himself, but also stealing and buying things, reselling them and pulling all kinds of things just to get some money. His lock picking and pick pocketing skills had become so good, he was almost impossible to catch.
Then he got into the illegal fight circuit when he was 13, benders facing off, usually to the death, for money. Most of the contenders were people his age and his earthbending improved greatly, winning, losing and getting beat to near death, he always seemed to pull through, he eventually dominated the circuit at age 15, having created himself a fighting style which helped him best utilize his skinny frame and speed of hands and just overall agility. While at the same time still being a prominent thief, he was quite the character in the Republic City underground world, mostly known not only for his great fighting skills but for his skills in thievery as well. Learning how to survive wasn’t easy, it require a quick tongue and even quicker hands as well as a determination to do anything to survive, he was attacked many times, he fought in street fights and in the fighting circuits and he always came out on top, something that many attributed to his “damn good luck”
He eventually signed onto a Earthbending dojo, paying with stolen money, he was one of the four students there, but the old man knew what he was talking about, he helped Takeo perfect his style and learn many new techniques as well as increase his already great skills exponentially. Though it helped him a lot in his thievery and con endeavours it especially helped him in the fighting circuit, allowing him to win more and more Yuan’s eventually letting him rent a small apartment in the lowest part of the city. He began considering turning his life around and wondered if there was a way to do so, so he decided to begin looking for a mainstream job.
He joined the Metalbending police academy; because he enjoyed bending and thought it was something he could easily do. Though it wasn’t as easy as he thought it would be, he eventually graduated from the academy after learning how to metalbend, he got assigned to patrol duty with an older partner, who later proceeded to teach him more in-depth metalbending techniques. A couple of years later he got thrown out of the police force for assaulting a triad member “without evidence” and beating him severely. However during his time in the force he gained some interesting connections and learned a lot about metalbending, he also stole a steel bracelet from a thief that had a long steel wire inside it, perfect for fighting assailants.
In the following years he further practised his bending and delved deeper into various schemes and thieveries, he stole a large amount of Yuan’s from an old rich guys safe by opening it with metalbending, he stole a couple of cars and sold them off, he’s done a lot of illegal things and is quite a wanted man by many people, from the triads, to smaller gangs and even the police want to have a word with him.
