Xi Lie Liu
name: Xi (pronounced shie)
gender: Female
age: N/A, approx. 16
element: Earth
animal companion: Abandoned in the woods around Ba Sing Se as a toddler, Xi was befriended and taken care of by an armadillo-lion named Kuai, (and someone else as well, but we’ll get to that later), meaning rapid or quick. Xi uses Kuai as transportation, wherever she goes. She also befriended a wounded cat-owl she named Yi, meaning harmony.

hair color: Black, just pure black, usually streaked with dirt and all sorts of grime.
eye color: Electric blue/green.
skin color: Her skin is originally very pale, but she’s tanned a lot since a small toddler.
overall appearance:
One might think that, at a first glance, Xi was raised in the mountains, which she was. Her hair is long, as she’s never had a haircut, and it hangs in dread locks, making it much easier to maintain. Despite the fact that she’s a wild mountain girl, she managed to pick up on hygiene very quickly, so now she’s clean for the most part. She’s small for her approximate age, about 4’10”-5’. Her face is very feminine, but is often covered by either her hair, a bandana, or her hood. Her clothing before being shipped to Republic City usually consisted of very little clothes. However, now that she is in civilized society, she usually wears baggy black shorts, and a light green hoodie with bandages binding her breasts (though meager they are) underneath, and is often mistaken for a small boy.
::what I'm thinking
likes: dirt, nature, having no rules, befriending animals, sleeping, running
dislikes: baths, rules, restraints
sexuality: Asexual for now, but who knows what’ll happen.
overall personality:
She’s very wary of people, and is much more trusting of animals. When one does get to know her, however, they find she’s very sweet, mischievous, and loyal, much like a dog. She takes her bending skills quite seriously, and is a very, very quick learner. She can be short-tempered and impulsive, and can be prone to making mistakes when she becomes agitated in battle. The fact that she actually enjoys combat, as well as a habit of showing a large smile when facing a particularly strong opponent, indicates that she’s willing to risk her life to protect others and can be rather blood thirsty..
::a past to remember
Although her origins are unknown, what is known is that Xi was abandoned in the woods when she was approximately 4 or 5 years old. Left for dead, she wandered the woods by herself, and was eventually found lying in a pile of leaves by Kuai, the Armadillo-Lion. He brought her to his cave, where his caretaker, an Earth bending nomad, ended up caring for her. When she was just 7 years old, she began to exhibit strong signs of being able to bend earth, and upset a few mole hills here and there, so the nomad began to train her carefully on the wonders of earth bending. As she grew up, she never found out the man’s name, only calling him sensei, but she loved him as she loved a father.
When she turned 16, her “Sensei” pulled her into a hug (the first one she’d ever received from him) and told her that it was time for her to leave her quiet woodland sanctuary. When she resisted and begged to stay in the woods, he knocked her out, set her on top of Kuai, pinned a note to her shirt, placed a necklace in her pocket, and sent the duo on their way.
This is how Xi found herself en route to Republic City. Lost and alone, she clung to Kuai and wandered the city, looking for the addressed pinned to her jacket. Finally finding the address, she found there to be a small room waiting for her, paid off for the rest of her life. Now she’s left in Republic City, alone.
