Ryota Xiaoli,
name: Ryo
gender: Male
age: 15
element: Earth
animal companion: none
::looking pretty good
hair color: brown
eye color: olive
skin color: Caucasian
overall appearance:
A scrawny young man, about 5'7. He has light eyes and hair jutting in all directions. He's all angles and sharp edges, but he hopes he'll soon fill out. (You can't impress girls with this frame!) He wears simple, worn out earth nation clothing and always seems to have a dirt smudge somewhere on his face.
::what I'm thinking
likes: Training, fighting, dreaming, talking, girls, and proving people wrong.
dislikes: Rude people, garbage in the street, burnt food, bullies and books.
sexuality: Straight.
overall personality:
Ryoto seems like a soft-hearted sweety butt on the outside, but on the inside he has nerves of steel and great aspirations. He hates it when people tell him he can't do something, he'll just turn right around and do it... Even if he can't do it well or it gets him into trouble. He prefers to be called Ryo, especially by his friends. He has a very clumsy, unrefined demeanor and despite being a grounded earthbender, he's constantly tripping over his own feet, knocking things over, and running into walls.
::a past to remember
Ryoto grew up loved and sometimes... smothered. His mother meant best, but since his father was taken by an anti-bending group when he was 8, she became very protective of her earth-bending child. Ryo bent at every chance he could get, but when you live in a small earth kingdom village, the hills seem to have eyes. (Nosy neighbors -cough-) When his mother found out she had no choice but to ground him, she didn't want to keep him indoors all of the time, but with all of this "anti-bending" mumbo jumbo happening... She needed to protect him by hiding his bending, so he wouldn't end up like his father.
And of course, our dear friend Ryo, being a very free spirit, decided he could no longer be held back by his mother. He left her a note one night and left, taking the yuans he had made at the local teashop with him. Ryo had heard of the great Metal-bending police force of Republic City for years, and he had decided he wanted in. He wanted to be a part of something that could stop criminals and father snatchers... Because he was too weak to save his father while he could.
As he sets off for Republic City on the back of a Armadillo-donkey hay cart, Ryo truly believes he has a bright future ahead of him.
