"The exile's path is alone yet there are others like us..." Xin mock imitated his master as he leaned over the rail of the ship he road on as a passenger, "Seek out the acolytes, they will have more insight to your lessons." He paused switching back to his own quiet annoyed tone, "Of course he didn't bother mentioning it was way out on some hellish island. He knows I can't swim! Even if I told him he'd probably just say, 'Conquer fear before it conquers you!'" Xin shook his head slowly with a combination of disgust and doubt as the ship rocked on the waves beneath him. Going on only vague descriptions across his mortal enemy the sea, sometimes he had to question himself for listening to the lovable nutter.
He held his breath as the ship came to port praying that nothing would go wrong during this final critical moments of the voyage as he well suspected they would before disembarking onto the docks. He had never bothered to come to this island in all his years because of the water. Step one was over though and he could get back to fulfilling one of the final lessons his instructor had given him. He had hoped that by leaving his Shirshu, Katsu, back at the cave with yi that he would be able to enter the city unnoticed by any authorities and so far it had went smoothly. He could only hope there weren't many authorities who would recognize him on this island now that he was here. He had no intention of trying to fight on an island in the middle of the bay and plot an escape back across the waters to the mainland.

A small sigh escaped the lips of Zian as he laid on his stomach on the ground, playing with the dirt. Well, he was using his bending to play with it, creating little houses, people, building it up to a village. His pet air bison, Bao, grazed in a patch of grass nearby, happy to be out of the barn. They had just gotten back from an afternoon of flying. Bao had been pretty restless lately, so Zian took the day off from his lessons to take him out for a nice long flight, tire him out. They were gone from sunrise until a few moments ago, and the sun was starting it's descent into the horizon. He didn't have anything to do for the rest of the day, hence his building of the village.
The sound of the ferry grabbed his attention as it docked, someone getting off of the boat. People usually didn't visit the island around this time, but there were a fair amount of random visitors that popped up during the day. Sitting up, Zian returned the ground to normal, dusting the dirt from his shirt and pants. There wasn't anyone else around, he figured he may as well greet the guest. He grew up on the island, so knew the drill when it came to visitors. Bao took a moment to look up from his grazing to inspect the stranger, returning to his greens after a moment. With a smile, Zian approached the other boy. "Hello, Welcome to Air Temple Island." he said with a bow. It was obvious that Zian was an Acolyte, as he was sporting their traditional clothes.
