Well today had been a bust. It almost made him want to leave this stupid city, but he had to remind himself that one bad day wasn't worth missing out on the experiences that he could have here. He had to take the bad with the good, he supposed. The day had started out like all the others since coming to the city, he got up and took a walk around the market, looking for work. In the afternoon when he finished, the firebender was crossing down an alleyway when he was ambushed by some thugs. He felt ashamed that this happened to him, but there was five of them, all benders, he didn't stand a chance. But he at least gave them a tough time getting his stuff.
After all of that fuss the only thing Chase could take solace in was his things weren't worth the trouble. The few yuans that they stole wouldn't even cover the cost to replace the clothes damaged in battle. And he wasn't carrying anything else valuable, so they managed to only really get his days earnings and some clothes. And a picture of his family. Shit he forgot about that. Realizing this loss only furthered his rage. The orange haired boy made his way over to the park, his dragon cat Zala following in the air. She knew to stay away from her master when he was angry like this. Stomping over to the water's edge in the park, he took off his shoes and rolled up his pants, sitting down with his feet in the water. Letting out a sigh his tense muscles relaxed a little. Chase took a few deep breaths, trying to calm his anger. Zala landed next to him and curled up beside her master.

The taste of the air was relaxing as the scent of many different foods drifted down the many homes and street vendors, along with some diners that were full of people as the day seemed to be coming to a close. "Well Koda, want to head to the park before back to the apartment?"
The polar dog looked up at her, his tail wagging before they started their sprint towards the park. She wore a blue tank top, which fitted tightly to her torso nicely and a pair of thick pants that most did not see on someone except for at the polar regions. Thick boots pounded the ground as they raced towards the park. Around her wrist were leather like gloves and she had a necklace around her neck. Her hair was pulled back into a pony-tail and it flew out behind her. The park was coming into view and as they neared the water, so was a boy sitting with his dragon cat. Leah Anna's eyes widened and with a quick water bend and a jump, she flew into the air and was engulfed into the water by a stream while Koda ran past the man and into the water. As popped her head out of the water and smiled, rubbing the back of her neck. "Sorry about that... I didn't see you and I had to think fast or I might of sent you into the water with me..."[/color] She smiled, moving towards the shore, slightly away from him and using her bending to remove as much water from her clothes as possible. Laying back in the grass, he closed his eyes, putting his hands behind his head, letting his mind wander. His daydreams were interrupted when he felt vibrations in the ground, whatever was creating them was big, and was getting closer. Zala lifted her head as Chase opened an eye to check things out, a large canine and a girl hurdling towards them. Zala reacted quicker then her master, darting into the bushes. Chase only had time to sit up before a huge splash of water washed over him as the two bodies entered the water. He didn't get drenched, but it was still irritating. This was the worst day in republic city, ever. Clenching his jaw, Chase couldn't help but glare at the girl as she rose to the surface, offering up an apology. "Ya just watch where you're splashing next time." he called over to her, wiping some water off his face with his arm. Zala wandered back over, licking the liquid off Chase's skin.
Like the girl, he used his bending to remove the rest of the water from his clothes, it was a little bit of a slower process then the water bender's was, but eventually the water was steaming with heat, evaporating off his clothes and body. with a small sigh, he ran his fingers through his hair, making sure it didn't look too disheveled.

The water had been refreshing and even though she had pulled out the water with her bending, she still felt damp and she looked at Koda who swam around for a moment. She really did feel sorry for splashing him and it showed in her face. Koda soon came out of the water and was about shake when Leah Anna gave him a quick whistle and then waterbended the water from him. "Ya just watch where you're splashing next time." She helped with some of his water problem, as she had not meant to get him wet at all... She was hoping the water spout would engulf her and swallow her into the lake without touching him, but she must of twisted her hand or motion wrong.
"I never intended on getting you wet, but normally no one is sitting there when Koda and I run this way... You are the first to sit here at this time and I tried to avoid it... My water spout just released before he came back into the water like it was suppose to."
She said, a bit harsh then she had meant it to be. She had not meant to and this fire bender was getting a bit angry over a bit of a splash. Her harsh tone served to alert Chase on how much of an ass he had been. As usual, he had let his temper get the best of him. He had been trying so hard since leaving home to work on it, but today had just been so shitty. There wasn't really an excuse, he just slipped up. With a sigh, he stood up. "It's okay. I just had a fucked up day, is all." he was happy she at least helped take the rest of the water off him. He had been sitting next to the water, of course there was a chance for him to get wet. He felt bad for snapping at this girl, but there wasn't anything he could do about it now, other then adjust his attitude and move on.
Zala hid behind his leg, looking at the canine apprehensively. Usually the dragon cat was good with other animals, but she just was hesitant around dogs. She was probably just intimidated at the size, she was used to meeting smaller animals, or at least ones only a little bigger then herself.
