Zemin had a long day at work. His job as a street cleaner was the best employment he could garner at the moment and truthfully, his sand bending abilities weren't really designed for it. He could push the big stuff off the streets and into the gutters if he used a good sized sand stream. Of course that wasted a lot of his sand, which was not readily available unless he made a trip to the park or forked out Yuans for another bag, neither of which he wanted to do. As a consequence, he had taken to bringing a broom to work.
Today he had shown up on time, like any normal worker would, and was the first sent out on the job, meaning he would get paid more for working more hours. He'd taken his broom and started sweeping the streets. By lunch time he was completely tired from the heat and the massive amounts of bending he had to do. After lunch he went back to work, and in the evening got paid. When he opened the money pouch there were 30 Yuans inside, ten more than any other worker was getting paid today.
Another street cleaner, a water bender by the name of Yen, noticed the look of surprise on Zemin's face. He began to question Zemin and eventually found out about his ten Yuan raise, which was a big deal to the class of people that street cleaning attracted. People began shouting at both Zemin and the Boss, but Zemin quickly left before things escalated.
A few hours later Zemin was walking home, having just eaten at the noodle shop with his raise. It had started to get dark when he heard a voice coming from an alley. Zemin barely had any time to react before three water benders surrounded him, hitting him with water whips.
At first Zemin was caught off guard and was quickly put on the ground. It took him a minute to adjust to the pain before he was ready to retaliate. If being raised as a sand bender had taught him anything, it was that all pain passes, and then you get to fight back, and that is just what Zemin did. Using his back muscles, he was able to flex some sand out of the bag on his back. He then jumped into a crescent moon attack position and unleashed an axe kick that formed the sand into a whip that took out the first water bender. He quickly jumped out of the way of the next two water whip strikes. Looking the remaining two benders on, he knew he needed help.

Qiang was doing his daily rounds. He was one of the few members of the police force that did so even without being ordered to do so. The man walked along the side walks of the Dragon Flats District with no hesitation. He knew that it was an area that the police force wasn't very wanted by a lot of the people in that area. Qiang didn't care much about the glares he received by a few people throughout the day and eventually made his way else where for the time being.
Later that evening, Qiang made his way back to the Dragon Flats District. He knew that if he made his rounds on the ground that he would be confronted by some gang members who may have held a grudge towards him and the rest of the police force. So to make sure that he didn't cause any unnecessary destruction to the district and traveled along the metal wires that were above the buildings throughout the entire city. The officer slid along the metal lines slowly, looking down so that he could inspect all the activity on the street.
Before Qiang decided to end his nightly rounds, he noticed three water benders cornering a young man. The officer came to a sudden stop as he saw the young man hurl an arc of sand at one of the water benders. This quickly drew Qiang's attention and he watched for a second. After the first water bender was downed, the officer watched as the other two started to corner the young sand bender. Qiang sighed, assuming that the young man's supply of sand was limited. Hmph.. I thought I was gonna get to see one in action. He thought to himself.
Springing to action, Qiang held his hands out and two metal wires shot from the forearm guards of his uniform. Each coiling around the two water benders mid-section, pinning their arms to their sides. Qiang jumped down from the wires and right before he landed, two columns of softened earth rose to meet his feet and brought him down safely. He looked to the young man and disconnected the wires from his forearms, leaving the water benders tied up. "Are you alright? What happened here?"

The night was young, but steadily progressing as Han skipped amongst the many rooftops of Republic city's residential area. Wearing a crisp, two piece set of jet black armour that blended him into the darkness, Han transcended across the city above ground level like a silent phantom existing beyond human perception. His quick and brisk steps were frighteningly silent, even against the tiles that covered said rooftops. His raven coloured hair had been tightly tied into a short pony tail prior to his nightly espionage which increased his visibility as his hair wouldn't have been aimlessly jumping around and above his face. Nevertheless, in a crouched, silent sprint, he moved along the edge of a building, namely 5 meters(15ft) above ground level. Noticing a small commotion just below that included several boys, Han abruptly stopped and turned to face the edge as he overlooked the entire event thereafter.
By this time, a local law enforcement officer seemed to have also taken interest in the late night commotion. After having tied up the waterbenders he descended further towards the ground which ultimately placed him directly below Han, however, considering the medial distance between the two, Han was confident that his position hadn't been compromised. His crimson eyes narrowed and radiated in hidden interest at the sand bender which easily reminded him of his younger brother.
"Hm, that person, just maybe. . ."
Unfortunately, Han's thoughts were cut short by the voice of the officer after the little skirmish had come to a rather deadening conclusion. Moving on to other things, Han's attention momentarily shifted towards the officer who overtly displayed his affinity for earth. Having had his fill of the officer, his Han's eyes then focused and locked in on the waterbenders, viewing their abilities as a disgusting mutation and impurity. With a sober mind, his urge to cleanse them of their sins swelled, overwhelmingly so. His right hand reached up and over his head and seized the hilt of his Ninjaken, ready to free it from its dark prison. As much as he wanted to swoop down and cleanse them all, he instead decided to wait, why wouldn't he, throughout the darkness that surrounded the general area, it was unlikely that they'd even have noticed the raven clad phantom.

Luck really had been on Zemin's side that day. A raise and being saved by a cop at the last minute was almost unheard of given his track record. Zemin has already begun to say his prayers when the cop arrived out of no where and took the other two water benders down within seconds. They struggled quite a bit in their binds, but they couldn't really do anything. Zemin sighed and moved his hands around in a circle, bringing the sand he used on the first water bender back into his bag.
Zemin looked over the muscular metal bender and once again counted his blessings. This looked like a man of the law, if there ever was one. Often times the police of Republic City were more than a little biased against sand benders, and finding a policeman that was willing to overlook prejudice was a blessing in of itself. Zemin sighed from exhaustion, "I was walking home from a long day's work when these three decided to jump me." He snorted in the direction of the water benders. "I just wanted to go home." Zemin shrugged and motioned in the direction of his apartment, several blocks down the street.
By this point the two bound water benders were shooting the dirtiest looks possible at Zemin, and he was trying his best not to return the gesture. He needed to stay on the officer's good side if he wanted to stay out of jail tonight, not that he had done anything wrong, but Zemin was not well acquainted with the law.
At this point Zemin looked down and noticed that the third water bender wasn't tied up at all. His long dread locks were floating in a puddle of water that he was silently bending into several tentacles. Zemin caught his eye and then all hell broke loose. The water bender jumped up and lashed out with his water tentacles. There were five of them, each one moving in a different but deadly direction. The first was heading towards Zemin's head. Acting on pure instinct, Zemin managed to throw a wave of sand at it just before it hit him in his eye socket. The second and third water tentacles were thrown with deadly precision at the officer's wrists, probably aiming to cut his friends loose. The fourth and fifth tentacles remained by the water bender's side, providing a defense for any counter attacks.

Qiang watched the sand bender guide his sand back into his pouch. He was fascinated by the art. He figured it was a more fluid style than what he was used to with his earth bending, but figured it would be somewhat similar to manipulating the wires that the police force uses. He looked over at the two water bender that were apprehended and realized that he missed one. He knew that the boy knocked him down, but to what extent was still unknown to him. As he listed to the boy explain what happened, Qiang's eyes actively searched for the third water bender.
By the time he found him, the water bender had already sprung to action. Qiang didn't have much time to take in the situation and watched as the two water tendrils were heading towards his wrists. It looked like the they were really aiming for the wires that bound the other two water benders. The officer had enough time to raise his hands high enough so that the water wouldn't come in contact with him. The wires were severed, not by the force of the water, but by the officer's bending. He closed his hands into a fist and the binds on the water benders tightened enough to keep them secure until the third was captured.
Having the second to compose himself, the officer lifted one of his legs, his knee only coming up to his stomach and he drove it back to the ground. Once his foot made impact a large column six feet wide and six feet high rose out of the ground behind the water bender. Qiang extended his arms towards the wall and water bender and pulled them in, the wall moving towards him, more than likely colliding with the water bender in the process.

"Let the devolution begin." Han silently whispered to himself as he continued to overlook the events that unfolded a handful of meters beneath him, thinking of the best possible course of action he could have taken. Han admired the persistence of the water bender, however, he kenw that his efforts were futile as he was gravely outnumbered. Nevertheless, his act of desperation had been handled all thanks to the metal bending officer.
Taking the offense, the officer uplifted one of his legs, and in that decisive moment, a silent leap sent Han up and forward in an acute arc, enough so that he began to fall directly above the officer's head. Considering the medial distance(5 meters/ 15ft), it would have only take a second for gravity to have carried him down to his target. Prior to his descent, namely during the pinnacle of his leap, Han's legs came together, creating a missile tip with his legs and feet. Presuming that everything went according to plan, the bottom side of his legs -accompanied with gravitational force- came down from above and slammed into the summit of the Officers head, interrupting whatever action or bending he intended to perform. Don't fret, the attack by all means was far from lethal, if anything it would've stunned the man, especially considering it being - for lack of a better term- a surprise attack.
Lastly, just as he would've landed upon the officers head, Han's legs came to a slight bend, foreshadowing a potential leap of sorts.
