ZHI JIANG
name: Zhi Jiang,Zi or Z is fine for most
gender:Male
age: 18
element:Water bending
animal companion: Argo, the Buffalo yak, is a tall and well built specimen of his species. He is a darker grey than his brethren, and has a pink nose. The buffalo yak has extreme loyalty to Zhi, and the two act like brothers on certain occasions. The defining nature of this beast is that he loves to flirt and has a nose for food.
::looking pretty good
hair color: Dark brown/ black
eye color: piercing blue
skin color: Light tan, not as dark as many water benders, but still obviously a water tribe relative.
overall appearance:
Zhi is six foot even with broad shoulders and a tapering waist. His built is definitely athletic, but more of a lean and agile muscle tone than a bulky one. His face is well proportioned, and his nose and jawline are strong.His teeth are well taken care of and straight, along with his hairless body. It is an odd trait he inherited along with his naturally athletic build. The only hair he has is on his head. The hair there is long and wavy, but he keeps it tied back in a low pony tail.
The clasp he uses to do so are water-tribe, along with his boots and a belt like sash he uses to keep his pants tied up. His clothing is that of a wanderer, bits and pieces he has picked up in his travels. His top is a dark grey vest, and on occasion he wears a coat of some sort depending on the weather. His pants are a black color, along with his boots that have light blue designs from the water tribe along the top. The sash is a light blue color with white markings, and the ends of it there are small rabbit's feet. All in all, he is a well built and well sculpted boy.
::what I'm thinking
likes: Eating, peace and quiet, healing, being
with Argo, riding, hunting, water bending, nature, being kind
dislikes:High pitched noises, cruelty, annoying tweeting birds, reading, being bossed around
sexuality: Hetero
overall personality:
Zhi is an all around good guy that has flaws. He is not entirely good at reading or writing, so he avoids situations involving such things as much as possible. He loves being with Argo and travel ling around, and is an absolute lover of eating. If presented with friends or people he cares about he would do absolutely anything to keep them safe no matter what the cost. He can have a temper when pushed too much, but tries to keep his true emotions masked as much as possible. If he happens to have a dislike of someone he will avoid them, or ignore them best he can. Again, his temper with people who bother him is short, but very few people get on his bad side since he isn't entirely too social.
::a past to remember
Zhi was born to a water bender and a non bender to a rogue tribe in the north. His father, Boratu, was the elder and leader of the tribe, and taught his son all the ways of the water tribe people. His mother, Zusue, taught him how to cook and take care of himself, much to Boratu's dislike. Zhi discovered he was a bender at a fairly early age, and since he was an only child his father wasted no time in the day teaching him all he knew.
Zhi was a quick learner and obviously interested in learning to water bend and heal, even if it was woman's work on the latter, but his real passion was training his own buffalo yak at the age of eleven. Argo was a present to him from his grandfather, Maron, who was a non-bending buffalo yak breeder. The calf had stood out to him from birth, and since Zhi had been there to help birth him and take care of him he saw no better home. Of course, Zhi had to wait until Argo was big enough to actually ride to fully train him, but it all came together quite nicely up until there was nothing really to teach him.
Sadly, on Zhi's fifteenth birthday, he went out with a hunting party, and the most tragic events happened to his people. There had been a band of bandits consisting of man different types of benders in the area. The moment most of the men had left the village, they caused an avalanche and encased the village, and its inhabitants, in an unexpected heavy layer of ice, By the time the hunting party returned nothing could be seen but the tunnels melted into the ice to the village. For days the boy searched in the snow for his family, and finally found them crushed by the weight of the ice. Once he buried them, he was officially on his own.
For years Zhi has wandered the earth looking for something. He himself knows not what it is, but is determined to fill the hole within himself. Luckily he was left a bit of hope and a companion in the massace. Argo, ever faithful and cheerful, stays by his side. The two rogue wanderers roam the many nations, searching for the unknown piece to Zhi's puzzle.
