Kenzin has a stocky build to his body. For his age, he is still very athletic and compete with young adults. At 6'0, Kenzin has toned muscles. He has short black spikey hair he just recently cut, with the occasional white strands. Though on the side of his hair it is predominantly white. Kenzin holds with him defined, bright amber eyes that can be notice easily for a distance. When training with his students, Kenzin wears a traditional Fire Nation training uniform. On a regular day, he wears a red long-sleeve shirt underneath a red and black vest, and black pants with knee high Fire Nation shoes.

Kenzin is a go happy old man that loves young people. He always wants to be around them and educate them. Kenzin thinks of his students as children of his own. Around adults, he is very outgoing and talkative. He rarely gets angry unless it is his family or students. His firebending and training his students is were he is at his most serious, but he does throw in the occasionally joke to lighten up the mood.
Kenzin only dislikes a few things, but politics and equalists are two topics Kenzin absolutely hates. With his actions, he does not show his major disliking of politics and equalists, but if you knew him well enough, Kenzin does not want to hear or talk about them.

Kenzin was born on the island of Shu Jing to a firebender instructor, and a stay home mother. At a young age, Kenzin displayed firebender not an average Firebending child would show. Kenzin's father personally trained Kenzin starting at age 5. He was able to produce moves that more experinced teenage firebenders could produce. In his teenage years, Kenzin went to school and countinued to grow as a firebender and master the element.
At age 20, Kenzin was able to produce high advanced firebending moves and techniques that he learned from his father. Kenzin wanted to share his talents and teach younger children for an occupation. He knew Shu Jing was not the perfect city to teach, but the United Republic of Nations was. He moved to the Republic City to find a job as an instructor at an Academy. Kenzin trained the children that just began their firebending training. That is were he began to love children and there presence they bring to Kenzin. The Main Master instructor taught Kenzin master level techniques and helped Kenzin perfect his firebender as Kenzin was teaching himself.
After living in the Republic City, getting used to the enviroment, reaching mastery of firebender, and passing on kids to the next level of their firebending, Kenzin was at a very good place and stability in his life. The main instructor stepped down his position as Owner and Head Instructor of the Firebending Academy, and At age 40, Kenzin took both positions in the Academy.
