"Bohai! We have a problem," Meifin called as she poked her head behind the doors that separated the kitchen from the public portion of the restaurant. The broad-shouldered chef let out a grunt. "What?" "One of the customers had a little too much to drink and now he won't leave," Meifin continued, rolling her eyes. "Or pay." Daiyu chuckled quietly from where she was chopping up several leechi nuts. "Isn't it a little early for the drunkards to be at it already?" she scoffed. Meifin shrugged and adjusted her waitress's uniform as she looked to Bohai for instructions. The gruff older man turned and nodded his chin at Daiyu. "Luó, get him out of here," he barked. "The nuts can wait."
Daiyu made a face. Tossing out drunks was not a favorite activity of hers, but as she and Bohai were the only benders employed by the restaurant, it usually fell on one of them - and considering Bohai was the head chef and she only the assistant, he generally passed the responsibility on to her. Still, she knew better than to argue. Displeased facial expressions were usually the only form of rebellion permitted by Bohai, and even then doing so could be dangerous if he was in a bad mood. A worse mood than usual, anyway. "Yes, Chef," Daiyu replied, wiping her hands off on a nearby towel. Meifin flashed her a sympathetic grin as the other girl walked past her. "Table six. You can't miss him. Have fun."
The firebender scoffed as she pushed the swinging doors open and made her way to the man in question. "Sir - " she began, but was cut off by a chair flying at her head. "I'm the king of everywhere!" bellowed the man as he clumsily climbed on top of the table. "Behold my secret power... chair bending!" He burped loudly and waved his arms about, almost toppling off the table in the process. "Sir, I need you to get down," Daiyu tried again, her voice firm, and then the floor moved underneath her and threw her backward. Chair bending might not have been a talent of the man's, but apparently earthbending was. Fantastic.

He was slowly getting used to the big city and its strange ways. They were a lot more different then the fire bender thought they were going to be. Before arriving, he thought that the city would be not too different from his own town, and all the other towns he had visited on the way here, just with more people. But once arriving in the city, he immediately discovered that things were done quite different here. It definitely took some getting used to, but once you did, Chase found it a nice change from nosy small town life he had grown used to. Nobody cared what he did here, he was free to just do as he pleased. The only one who relied on him was his dragon cat, Zala, which was nice since she didn't really require a lot of care. She mainly took care of herself other then food. It always baffled Chase how such an agile, intelligent creature could not hunt for it's own food. Well, she probably could, but preferred the food that was given to her by her master.
The night was young, the sun just finishing it's decent into the horizon. Chase hadn't really done anything that day other then help around the market for a couple of extra yuans, helping merchants unload their carts, and other random tasks that they would pay for. It wasn't the best work, but it made money, and small jobs like this were all he was able to find to make money since getting here. It seemed to be sufficing though. After a short stroll, the young man decided to check out a restaurant he had passed a few times on his random outings. The smells coming from it always were so enticing. He took up a booth and ordered a bowl of stew for himself, and a breast of chickencow for Zala.
The food was actually really good, Chase was glad that he decided to check the place out. As he was finishing his last few bites, the customer and the next table started making a ruckus, obviously very drunk. He was being very loud, and destructive, even going so far as to break a chair near one of the waitresses that came out to get rid of the rowdy man. He watched the interaction silently as Zala still gnawed away at the bones of her now eaten breast. Nobody else was making a move to help this girl. A small growl escaped the back of his throat as he stood up, appalled at how the man had treated the waitress. The other man was about the same build and height as he, but Chase stared him down anyways, his crimson eyes piercing "Pay up and leave. Don't cause any trouble." he said firmly, hoping this man wasn't too far gone to realize the results of his actions if he were to act out now.

Daiyu's assistant chef's hat had gone flying, though finding it wasn't her primary concern at that moment. The firebender was back on her feet in an instant, and while it was instinct to react to the drunk's bending with some of her own, getting into a fight in the middle of her workplace was generally frowned upon. She knew she could go there if she needed to, but it was expected that she at least attempt to get the unruly customer to leave peacefully. If he continued to refuse, then... well, she would have to see.
Someone else had stepped in, a young man of similar build to the drunk. Daiyu wasn't sure if that would make things better or worse. "You can't tell me what to do!" bellowed the man, holding his arms out at his sides in an attempt to strike a regal pose. "I... am the Avatar!" He squinted in what was clearly supposed to be a mysterious fashion, looking over the people around him. Daiyu was scowling as she approached again, coming to a stop near the man who had apparently joined the effort to remove the drunk from the restaurant. "You have three seconds to pay and get out," she snapped. The drunken man blew a raspberry at her in response. He raised one leg, ready to bend again, but this time Daiyu was prepared for him. Before he could finish the move, she had responded with one of her own.
Several nearby customers let out small yelps of surprise as the small blast of fire shot past the man's head, singing a few strands of his hair. The drunk squawked loudly, lost his footing, and tumbled backward off the table. Several loud curses followed before he slowly clambered to his feet. Daiyu grimaced slightly at looked over at the man who had come to assist her. "You might want to step back," she warned. It was never wise to assume that someone was a bender, and the last thing she wanted was for someone to get hurt if this got really ugly.

Wow, this guy was actually so drunk that he thought he was the avatar. Chase wondered how many drinks it took this man to get to this point. He was being so reckless, but then again, he could be like that sober. Chase had met a fair share of ignorant people in this city. This behavior wouldn't be tolerated back home, but then again he came from a smaller town where everyone knew every one else's business, but here there was too many people to keep track of that. So more things like this happened where people will act out because they don't have a delicate reputation to worry about.
But this girl seemed to have things under control, disabling his attack with her own, scaring some of the nearby customers. He backed off when she told him to, not wanting to interfere if she had the situation under control. Since arriving here he had run into a few situations where he had to help out others. Actually it was happening more often then not. He didn't go looking for people to help, things just seemed to happen around him. So if this girl didn't need his help, it would kind of be nice. He watched inquisitively, waiting for her to execute her next move.

The drunk now stood on the ground, red in the face both from the alcohol and his rising temper. Daiyu was becoming less concerned with getting the man to pay; getting into a skirmish in the restaurant would cost much more than what he owed, and the last thing she wanted was for any of the customers to get hurt. Many were already leaving for fear that the stand-off would escalate further, which meant even more lost income. Expelling him from the property quickly was more important. At least the young man who had approached earlier seemed to be listening to her warning.
The drunken man gave a shake of his head, clearly attempting to collect himself. Daiyu stood several yards away, her feet planted firmly and the rest of her body loose and ready to either prepare another strike or defend herself. "You... don't know who you're messing with," the drunk scolded, waggling his finger at her before turning and pointing it at the other man. "And you... you're helping! Trying to bring down the last chairbender in the world!" Two flames began to slowly form in Daiyu's hands, though she waited to see if they were necessary. The drunk stumbled away from the table he had fallen off of and linked his fingers together in order to crack his knuckles. "Don't know who you're messing with, nope!"
"Three seconds are up," Daiyu reminded him, keeping her eyes on the drunk. He let out a loud cackle and shook his head again. "I... am the last chairbender!" he roared, and with surprising speed for his state of mind, dropped down and slammed his fists against the floor. The ground beneath them shook and cracked, forcing Daiyu back. In the time it took her to recover her stance, chunks of the earth below had lifted up and had been thrown at both herself and Chase.

This was starting to get a little out of hand. People were starting to leave, scared for their safety. He didn't blame them, though. He was annoyed by this man's actions as well, he just wouldn't leave because this girl might need help. He'd apparently developed a hero complex since leaving home. The firebender dashed forward as 'the last chairbender' released an attack at them, using a flaming kick to disintegrate one of them, a fire punch to do the same to the other. The rocks exploded into clouds of dust, chunks of the rocks flying in every direction. "That's enough" the orange haired boy said, stepping towards the drunk. "You're leaving now." the man laughed in his face and took his stance again, clearly intending to repeat his last attack. Before he could execute his bending, Chase broke his grounding by sending a flame at his opponents feet with his own. The drunk stumbled back.
Before he regained his balance Chase grabbed his wrist, pulling his arm behind his back, pulling it back until the man groaned in pain, his knees buckling. Heaving him to his feet, Chase hauled the struggling man over to the door, keeping grip on him with one hand grabbing his shirt around the collar, and other keeping his arm pinned behind his back. Tossing him out onto the streets, he stepped out as well, wanting to make sure this asshole leaves for good. The man fell to the ground, and turned around to get up to fight back. Before he could stand , Chase punched a fireball beside his head, the ground remaining red from the sheer power of the flame. "I'm not going to tell you again."
