When the woman agreed Totomi bowed slightly at the waist. He also grinned slightly at Ryo's input. He had a point, but the way he said it just made Totomi grin.
Totomi thought that Ryo's bow was deeper then really needed but then again that was just him. After all he grew up in a place where everyone knew one another. Even if he wasn't born there.
He laughed abit when Ryo took off. "Hey wait up!" Totomi called after bowing to the woman. He jogged up behind his friend and tapped him on the shoulder. "This is my first time here. So I don't know where things are." He said grinning. "So we might want to find out where we are though." He said.
He looked around and saw a few people standing around. He noticed a few were wearing matching robes. They must've been those acolytes he's heard about. He looked back at Ryo. "Maybe we should ask them?" He commented pointing over his shoulder with his thumb and raising an eyebrow.
While he waited for a response he started to look around the temple. Now that he was closer he could get a better look at it. It really did look like an impressive place It might have had something to do with the fact that he hadn't spent alot of time in cities. Despite having been born in one.
(I think I got one.)

Ryo laughed and threw his arms out, "This is my first time being here, too." He shook his head and continued, "You never know what you'll find until you go looking!"
"Or... we could ask them," He said bashfully, scratching the back of his neck with his face heating up. He saw several Air Acolytes in identical clothes and nodded to Totomi.
"Let's ask them," He said and approached the Alcolytes.
"Hello!" He bowed, "My name is Ryo and this is Totomi. We're working on a nearby ship and we're both interested in the island."
"Any chance for a tour?" He asked hopefully.
(Acolyte this is your time to shine! Go!! or not that was bossy)

While Ira did enjoy life in the city every now and then, Air Temple Island was her home no matter what. When she was sixteen, her mentor, who was one of the elderly air acolytes living on the island, had taken her in and given her a home in the city. It had gotten her off the street and for that she was eternally grateful.
Today, she had passed the time by taking care of some chores around the island that needed to be done, meditating and practicing her fire bending. Even if she hated her bending, she never, ever missed a practice session. She didn't want to risk losing control of her bending like she had when she was younger, not now that she had learned how to control it properly.
The air acolyte woman was currently in the dining hall enjoying a cup of herbal tea. She was sitting by herself, despite other air acolytes being in the room as well. It wasn't that she disliked the other air acolytes, she just liked to have some alone time every now and then too. The other air acolytes knew this too and mostly left her alone, which was fine by her. Being a loner by nature, Ira had never been very sociable, so she didn't mind being alone.
Finishing her tea, she walked outside into the afternoon sun, contemplating what she should do next. There was really not much left for her to do on the island, so she decided to go to the city. If she wasn't mistaken, there was a ferry that would be leaving soon, and if she was quick, she might be able to catch it.
She was, however, stopped by some of her fellow acolytes before she could make it to the ferry. It seemed that they had something important they needed to tell her, so she stopped to listen to what they had to say.
While they were standing there talking, they were approached by two men who definitely did not look like air acolytes. In fact, Ira never remembered seeing any of them around the island before.
When the younger of them introduced himself, Ira hoped that someone else would take care of this, but it seemed that all her fellow acolytes, who she had been talking to just minutes earlier, had disappeared, leaving her alone with the two strangers.
Great, now she had to take care of this, which meant she would miss the ferry. However, it was not in the air nomad culture to just reject people like that, so of course Ira wasn't going to do it either, no matter how much she wanted to.
"It is nice to meet you. I'm Ira" she replied politely. Well, at least they seemed to have manners. That was always something.
A tour of the island, eh? Sure, why not?
"I'd be happy to show you around" She said, a small smile on her face.

Totomi walked along side Ryo and smiled at the air acolyte as Ryo introduced them. He thought it was neat having someone else introduce him for a change. When he heard his name said he bowed slightly towards the acolyte.
"Its nice to meet you Mr Ira." He said "If you're ok with me calling you by your name." He added just in case there was a certain title he was supposed to use... After all its better safe then sorry.
He was glad that he wasn't going to have to plead they're case again. In all honesty the case he made when trying to get them in was made up on the fly. He wasn't sure if he could pull it off again this soon after. But if he had to he would've tried.
He couldn't help but notice that the acolyte didn't seem all to pleased to have two strangers approach her. She also seemed like she had somewhere else she'd rather be. He figured that since she seemed to have already agreed to show them around he would be as quiet and respectful as he could. Without seeming suspicious. He looked at her noticing that she seemed as though she hadn't always been in the city. Or the island. He got that feeling because he was in the same boat.... At least when it came to the city. Totomi didn't plan on becoming an air acolyte. He was too much of an earth bender.... Plus he liked his clothing style too much.
"I hope that the supplies we helped unload will help you guys out." He said simply trying to be friendly and show that he wasn't going to be one of those people who would try to be a know it all. He couldn't speak for Ryo. But he had a feeling that he wouldn't be.
He once again pushed his glasses up on his nose. One more time and I'm taking you off he thought.

Ryo smiled at Ira, excited at the idea of being able to look around. He didn't catch any sort of displeasure towards them in her movements or tone, but he was also pretty oblivious to that kind of stuff.
"Its nice to meet you Mr Ira." Totomi greeted and Ryo almost fell over. The Air Acolyte standing in front of them was clearly a woman-a cute one, at that- and he spluttered at Totomi.
"No offense Totomi, but it looks like you need a new prescription. It's Miss Ira, not Mr." He said and wanted to bop his friend on the head.
"I agree, after all of that work and all of the muscles torn I hope they'll come to good use," He joked scratching the back of his head, embarrassed. He was a lanky, tall teenager who hadn't filled out yet, much to his dismay.
(ooc: sorry i was out)

When Ryo spoke up Totomi felt a bit of embarrassment flare up in him. He knew she was a woman. But for some reason he messed up while talking. He thought quickly and pushed his glasses up on his nose.
"I'm sorry. Ms. Ira." He said supressing a chuckle. "I might do better if I can just keep thses things up on my nose." He finished.
Totomi looked Ira over as was the usual habit he had developed over time. He noticed a scar on her face and he wondered what the story behind it was. But he didn't bring it up though. After all he had just botched up on saying hello, so he figured bringing that up would be a bad move. So he simply clasped his hands behind his back and kept a kind smile on his face.
He nodded in agreement with what Ryo said about the supplies and thought about saying something. But he couldn't find a good comment to say... Or any real comment for that matter. So he simply kept quite and kept his smile on his face.
He rocked back and forth on his heels and asked. "So is there anything special that we have to do before entering the Temple?" He asked. Gesturing to the Temple with an open hand. He was trying to appear kind and respectful.. But in reality he was simply trying to throw off his mistake he had made. Which messed with him... He didn't like messing up when addressing people.
