Yeeeah.
Basically for Kana's plot and development I have going on, she needs to learn how to Lightning bend. It's absolutely necessary.
Problem is, to lightning bend, you need to be able to separate yourself from your emotions--Break apart the yin and the yang. But she can't. She's been running away from her past, but it keeps following her, and she can't forget about all the people she's hurt.
Her Lightning bending teacher doesn't necessarily need to know how to lightning bend themself, or even be a fire bender. They just need to be someone who will basically yell at her, and get it through her head that she can't change what she's done, and the only way she'll beat her old boss/lover/partner/leader, is if she separates herself from that aspect of her past, and learns how to lightning bend.

Ira, who's a fire- and lightning bender, would love to get to yell at Kana and maybe teach her some lightning bending in the process :D
