A few years ago, the Ministry of Magic, concerned with a decline in wizarding population, encouraged breeding with Muggles. 'Purists', disgusted by the idea, began to bite back. Tensions escalated. Civil war began.
Now the Wizarding World is split in half. Pureblood families are dwindling - for the first time in their lives, they're not winning. Pro-diversity activists are threatening to break the Statute of Secrecy. The death count is rising and the only safe place seems to be Hogwarts. For now.
