overall appearance: Zian has dark brown hair. Growing up he was told to always keep it short, but recently has been letting it grow out a little bit, it almost covers his eyes now. His almond shaped eyes are brown, with hints of gold and green throughout them, if you look closely. Unlike his parents, Zian has paler skin, but not too pale. It gets tanned very easily, especially during the summer or after long rides on his bison. He is tall standing at 5'10'' and is quite lanky, his long limbs giving him a kind of gangly look that he still has to grow into. He wears air acolyte clothing most of the time, but also has some normal modern clothing he will wear when going out sometimes.

overall personality: Zian has a very free loving personality. He usually always has a smile on his face, and can be quite energetic at times. He has grown to control his outbursts, but will sometimes get a bit loud or intense. When he gets like this he is easily distracted, and hard to calm down. Zian is a very genuine person and cares a lot about those around him. He is always careful not to hurt anyone's feelings, or say anything mean or rude. He is very respectful to his elders, but also likes to joke around with them, but only because they're so serious.
He believes that life should be fun, and always tries to find it in places one would never expect. He loves going on adventures with random people, and loves making new friends. He is used to people liking him, so if he finds out that you do not like him, he will do everything to try and change that opinion. He doesn't really hate any type of person, and believes that everyone has their right to be the way they want, and tries to accept everybody. He loves helping people, just for the sake of it, not to get anything in return.

Zian is one of the very rare children to be born into the air acolytes, and was raised under their customs. His parents fell in love after meeting in the air temple and kept their relationship secret, not wanting the other acolytes to find out. But when Yeng, his mother, got pregnant, they had to come clean. They then got permission to have their child in the temple, as long as it was raised with the acolyte way of life. He led a very happy childhood, and was always playful and jovial, even though he had few other children to play with. He started bending training at a very young age only because it was something he showed a great talent for. His understanding of earth bending was amazing, though his execution of skills had to be worked on very hard.
Growing up as an acolyte, he became very familiar with their teachings, especially that of the illusion of separation. The separation of he elements is an illusion, just like all the other separation in the world. This intrigued Zian from a very young age, and he began to create a way to use his earth bending to mimic the other bender's abilities. It took him many years to fine tune his technique. He studied the forms of the other elements, even reverting to reading ancient teaching scrolls for air bending. He created a belt to carry his materials in, and has gotten pretty close to perfecting his ability.
Although the bending is nowhere close to as powerful as when the true bender of that element preformed it, he can mimic them. For fire, he carries coal dust in a pouch on his belt. The outside of the pouch has a small flint and steel that he uses to light the coal dust, and can hold a small fireball in his palm. For water, a small satchel filled with muddy water. And for air, he has another pouch that contains some sand. He is able to mimic the other elements by preforming his earth bending with the other elements' stances, but they are slightly altered to allow his earth bending to work with the martial arts style.
