Ok so. Tai-Lau has ridiculously long black hair that’s sort of up in this bun-type-thing, in which she wears a pin of pink flowers and a golden cord. Her eyes are this light amber-brown color. Her appearance is very mature for her age, with a height of 5’ 7’’, as well as sharp, cold eyes and a typically neutral expression. Her entire body is very feminine and lithe, though fit; not really the kind of build one would expect in an earthbender.
She usually dresses in this vibrant green, black, and white outfit, the most significant part being all the cords that meet at the jade piece connected to her necklace, and tie behind her in one of those flower knot things. The entire outfit basically consists of a short, dark green jacket with huge sleeves, a lighter green dress that ties at the hips, leaving her sides open, as well as black stockings that open at her feet. The entire getup is intended to make her look bright and cute…so it’s unexpected when she crushes you under a boulder.

likes: she prefers being alone in some quiet place. She also has a quiet affection for animals, and a strange fascination with picking apart people’s minds and emotions and manipulating them, observing their reactions.
dislikes: she doesn’t exactly favor excessive noise, leading to her disdain for large crowds. She strongly prefers all the dark alleys of Republic City to the noisy and energetic streets. She also holds a general dislike for men.
sexuality: she leans more towards women, which is why she didn’t want to get married.
overall personality:
she maintains the demeanor of a quiet respectful young lady, often remaining silent rather than voicing her thoughts. Underneath however, she hides a cold, sharp, and calculating mind, and a destructive and ruthless nature. This is rarely seen, except occasionally if someone says something stupid, or in her fighting stile, which basically consists of crushing enemies the moment the opportunity appears. Though she’d been like this her whole life, it was amplified by the time she spent working with gangs in Republic City, and now even more so by her work as an informant. Though she’s normally completely impassive, sometimes she shows a kind side, though it’s very rare.

Tai-Lau’s childhood was easily described as luxurious, growing up in a large mansion in the Earth Kingdom capital, Ba Sing Se. As an only child, she surrounded by gifts and everything she could ever desire and doted on by all the servants in the house as compensation for her lack of contact with her busy parents. She showed very little interest, if not distain, for the gifts and attention she received, however. She was much more interested in learning to earthbend, a skill inherited from her grandfather, who was a member of the Dai Li. Her parents therefore paid for her to be trained by the greatest earthbenders in the city.
As she came to the age of about 15, her parents decided to inform her of an arranged marriage they’d set up when she was little. Incredibly unhappy about this due to her general distain and mistrust towards men, she left home and traveled to Republic City, where she was found alone on some dark night by a gang of benders. This gang offered her a job as a hit man, which she impassively accepted. She was especially favored for her clean work, typically crushing her target and burying them underground.
After a year of working as a hit man she got tired of picking off lives for reasons she didn’t care to understand, so she left the gang and began working as an informant for the highest bidder. The work has made her even more mysterious and careful, ever mindful of her words and actions, and releasing her violent nature when the appropriate time presents itself.
