Baozhai is 5 foot 7 with shoulder length black hair. She is slim and athletic. She has a two inch scar on her left cheek which she frequently covers uo with her makeup abilites. The way she commonly carries herself is unremakable, she looks just like any random passer by on the street.

Baozhai is an odd duck, focused to much on her work sometimes she forgets to stop and smell the roses. She is very good at pretending to be normal while in disguise but it is all an act. In reality she is akward and hard to get to the real her, which is quirky and sarcastic. Baozhai is generally uncomfortable around and touching most animals, this causes her great challenge when on jobs that require her to be around them, putting her acting ability to the test.
She is very serious and meticulous. When she gets a job and she has to assume a persona she almost becomes the person. Using her makeup earthbending and practise she will assume characters, almost loosing herself, sometimes practising for days in preparation for a spy or assasination job.

Baozhai was born in Ba singh se, her mother died in childbirth. Her father, desiring a clean start moved to republic city with Baozhai when she was very young. Her father was very protective of her, Baozhai spent most of her early years in a very seltered existance. One day while walking home a group of drunken firebenders happend across Baozhai and her fathers path and due to a missunderstanding a fight broke out. Baozhai's father was killed, leaving Baozhai orphaned and with a deep distrust of fire benders. Baozhai spent many years on the streets of republic city struggling to survive. Most of her early bending was self taught and used mostly to aid her in day to day survival. She was eventually taken in by an enigmatic man named Zao Shen, a earthbending master and underground crime lord. Shen taught Baozhai to use her bending abilites and she quickly became a valuable member of his inner circle.
In this time she met her rival Gantai Gen, a firebender and valuable enforcer for Shen. Baozhai and Gen frequently butted heads and one day resulting in a full on duel. Baozhai lost this duel and Gen cut a scar into her cheek to remind her of his victory.
Baozhai exelled at using her bending for quick and devistating attacks instead of the usual defensive earthbending style prefered by most. She also learned a mostly forgotten bending art using the minerals in the pigments of makeup to create advanced and elaborate features and prosthetics to disguise her appearance. Using this skill, Baozhai can skillfully alter her facial appearance. These skills made her a valuable spy and assassin for Shen.
Gen would grow more and more powerhungry and when Shen takes ill Gen uses the opportunity of his weakend state to assassinate hime and distablize his circle in order to take over. Boazhai, knowing the truth of Shen's death and her distrust of Gen leaves the oganization in order to work alone.
She currently works as a mercinary, working for whoever can pay her price. Baozhai desires to avenge her master and confront Gen but knows she has a lot to learn before she is ready to try for justice. She seeks new abilities and allies along her path...shall she use her abilities for good or evil? That chapter has not yet come to pass.
