The dragon cat is a rare breed of feline that hails from Chase's home town. They are not known to come from anywhere else. Her name is Zala, and she is usually always with Chase. She can fly and is very agile. Her fur is the same color as Chase's hair, orange.

overall appearance: The first thing one probably notices about Chase is his hair. Being from the fire nation, his orange hair was a definite contrast to the black/dark brown everyone else seemed to have. Growing up, Chase was always made fun of for his unique hair color, and always resented it. His eyes are also one of his most noticeable features aside from his hair, being a dark crimson color. They are often referred to as demonic. They are almond shaped, lined with thick, dark lashes. Chase's face structure is masculine, but thin. He does not have a strong jawline, but has sharp features. He is tall and looks very lanky in his normal style of loose clothing, liking to keep his well toned muscles hidden. He is slightly taller then the average height, standing at 5'10''. He doesn't smile often, but when he does, his smile is very attractive, with small dimples in his cheeks and his white, straight teeth.

overall personality: There is one thing that every person Chase meets will notice, and that is his red hot temper. Ever since he was a child, he had always been bad at meeting new people and keeping his temper under control. As he grew older, the issue seemed to worsen. It's almost as if he is in a state of constant anger. The smallest thing can set him off into a rage of yelling and violence. He has tried to work on keeping it in check, but has yet to see much improvement. Chase is very rash, and usually never thinks about what he is doing. His motto is do now think later. He is very distant with his own emotions, and is always awkward when put into a situation where he has to talk about his emotions and how he feels. Even though he does not talk about himself a lot, he is very in your face with his opinion, and won't pass up an opportunity to tell you what he thinks. Some are able to see past this and befriend his despite this, seeing his snide, sarcastic comments as funny. After a while he will open up to some, but it takes a very long time before one feels welcome around Chase. He may not act like it, but he cares about those around him and will do anything to protect those he cares about. He is a very morally just person, and hates seeing the weak getting prayed on. He does not do well with authority, but will listen to orders if it is a very serious situation. Chase would die to protect what he cares about. Though he lacks confidence in himself, Chase has an amazing capacity for absorbing knowledge. Almost everything that is told to him he can remember and quote back. His mind is almost like a mini data base, and he has instant access to any information that has been stored in it.

Chase was born as the oldest son of the a noble fire nation family. Since he will be the one to lead the house once his parents have passed, from a young age Chase has been all the basics he will need to lead the house when he grew older. Even though Chase was very intelligent, his temper always proved to be a problem for the youngster. He would lose his mind over the smallest things, often scaring the other children, sometimes even getting physical. He was teased a lot for looking different, and would often get in fights about it. His parents put him in bending training at a very early age, hoping that the release of the training would calm his anger.
As Chase went up in the ranks of his bending training, it was made very clear that he was a natural. His sharp mind allowed him to pick up new concepts very easily, and he mastered the element by the age of 17. But no matter how hard he trains, he is unable to master the concept of lightning. His master has told him that because of his inner turmoil, he will not be able to produce lightning until his issues were worked through. Though he still tries to diligently learn the technique, he has shown no closer step towards it. This didn't bother him much, and he lived content with the fact that he just wouldn't be able to use that ability. Until Nobuyuki started showing his signs of being gifted. Nobuyuki was his younger cousin, the Heir to one of the other noble familes. After a while, it was apparent that this kid had many of the same talents as Chase, and even more. He was not cursed by the inability to use all his powers. Normally this wouldn't affect Chase, but him and his cousin looked almost exactly alike. And because of their resemblance, and the fact that their were both heirs, the older nobles all had a tendency to compare the two.
After a while, Chase got infuriated with everything. His family, their expectations, the comparing, the pressure. So he packed some things and left, leaving nothing behind but a short, blunt note to his family. He made a vow to not return until he was the man his family needed him to be. He has been traveling around the nation to hopefully accomplish this.
