hair color: Dark brown
eye color: Sky blue
skin color: Olive
overall appearance:
Riko is an average girl appearance-wise, taking on the natural qualities of any water-tribe member. She has strong cheekbones and bold eyebrows, giving her a straightforward appearance. Her eyes are an unusually light blue, making her stare strangely captivating. She often puts her hair in a long braid, but she will put it in a bun specifically for buffalo-yak riding competitions so it doesn't get in the way. She is rather compact for her age, and therefore is mistaken as being much younger than she is. Regardless of her height, she has a mature build, with decent-sized breasts and curves. She is athletic in her lower body and abdomen from riding buffalo yaks athletically. She often wears the typical heavy attire for living in the Northern Water Tribe, made out of blue-dyed seal leather and trimmed with the fur of buffalo yaks, and it hides her figure significantly.
::what I'm thinking
likes: tranquility, stability, buffalo-yaks, wind in her face, waterbending, the cold
dislikes: heat, adventure, anger, conflicts, laziness, waiting
sexuality: Straight
overall personality:
Riko is a stay-at-home kind of girl, and change makes her hairs rise. She is very normally calm and quiet, but sturdy in that she will blatantly demand that things go her way. She would rather do the same routine every day than be thrown into any kind of adventurous unknown, and when something unexpected is thrown into her path she loses it. She tends to become frustrated very quickly when things do not happen the way she expects, and she will take out her emotions violently on anybody who gets in her way. She is comparable to a stream that will wear down on a rock that is thrown into the middle, until it no longer is an obstacle. She has always been a hopeless romantic, reading and memorizing several scrolls of ancient love stories, but she would never do anything about her current state in order to achieve a relationship. She has a mature attitude, but she still has some growing up to do.
::a past to remember
Riko was a very normal baby. When she was born into the Northern Water Tribe, she was average size, with no health problems. It was no surprise, and it was actually expected, when it was revealed that she was a waterbender. Her parents owned a small buffalo-yak farm, where they would trim the animals for their fur for clothing. She was raised with the yaks, and she had a strong attachment and reverence for the steeds. As she was growing up, buffalo-yak riding tournaments became increasingly popular, and when she was thirteen her parents gave her her very own mount, which she named, raised, and trained.
She eventually became extremely good at the sport, starting with winning small prize monies and eventually working up to the big races, bringing home lots of wealth for her family. She did not grow up in wealth though, so she never received any advanced waterbending training from the old masters. However, as she grew closer to the age of being an adult, her parents became increasingly concerned by the rigidness with which she kept her routines. After all - everybody needed some sort of wistful love for adventure. Every time they voiced their concerns, she would either blow off their advances or become infuriated, and run from the house and sleep somewhere in the streets. Once her mother became once again pregnant, Riko became frustrated at the lack of stability it would lead to. Fed up with her incredibly close-minded attitude, her parents used the money she earned herself to ship her and her buffalo-yak to Republic City with a formidable amount of cash, to let her open her eyes and see what the world could really be like.
