Looks might draw that comment away, she repeated in her mind, thoughtfully looking at her glass. Did she really want it to be like that forever? He seemed to encourage her not to, but she wouldn’t have an answer for the broader shift that could bring and what it would mean, so she did what she always did – stopped thinking about it.
So he wasn’t one for brawling. Good. It was one thing to watch it and entirely another to be the one doing it. “Neither do I,” she said simply. “I just like seeing it. Alternately, friendly sparring.” She wanted to be a Pro Bender, it was her dream. Once she was experienced enough in the style and had enough money to start up a team, she could say farewell to customers. “Yeah. They weren’t serious,” she agreed without really realizing she was talking. Her mind became miles away with thoughts of Pro bending glory for a little while.
So apparently she had the look. She sure hoped he meant she qualified when it came to appearance and not that she looked like she would be a performing waitress. For Agni’s sake, she couldn’t wait to drop the doll and kick some ass in a Pro Bending tournament. See how they liked her then. She decided to take the interpretation that didn’t offend her and shot him a little smile.
He was from a village, she noted, and nodded to what he was saying, choosing not to comment further. When he coughed his drink back into his glass she gave a little chuckle, which she promptly hid behind a silken glove. “I said I’ve been wondering, not that I’ve decided. I’m not dying tomorrow.” She paused to think. “Well at least I hope not.” You never knew what cards you would be dealt. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to be so blunt,” she said, placing a hand to her forehead, but she had. “Forget I said anything,” she glanced at him through the fingers on her face, “if you can.”
And that was how Sazra ruined potential friendships with members of the opposite sex.

Totomi didn't realize what his comment about her looks had started in her head. If he had known then he would have tried to explain what he meant... He didn't like giving people the wrong idea about him or about what he thought of them... When he had made his comment he was meaning about the age, but he didn't know what she was thinking so he didn't say anything.
Instead he nodded at her comment about brawling. "Yeah I don't really enjoy it. But your right it is fun to watch." He said smiling. "Tell me do you like pro-bending?" He asked The reason he had asked is because it was a dream of his as well to one day be part of a pro-bending team. But first thing was first he needed to get his rent caught back up.
With that his mind started to wander to what he needed to do... He needed to finish helping that family fix the roof on their house... He needed to help those people fix the gutter. Which wasn't hard for an earth bender. Then he needed to get his money squared away and try to pay the landlord.
He looked at her trying to find the words he so desperately needed to talk to her about what he had meant when answering her question. "Oh... Well I was sorta caught off guard by your question." He said. "Reason I was asking is because right now... At this moment in time." He said looking at her. "I think I might say no." He paused realizing what he was saying. "Not because I wouldn't want to. But mostly because we just met." He finished. "But I guess if this was my last day alive I would......." He let his voice trail off. "Your right I'll just drop the subject." He said realizing that he was on the verge of making a fool of himself.

As if attuned to her thoughts, he asked about Pro Bending. She gave a little cryptic grin. “Yes,” was all she said, then looked away, apparently seduced by her own thoughts. Her dreams were her own and she didn’t feel inclined to share them with many others and Totomi was no different. When she became more realistic, she wondered how on earth she would find teammates if she never even spoke to anyone about it. With a little inner shrug she decided there was plenty of time left.
Sazra had no worries or responsibilities. Still living with her parents in their sizeable home, she didn’t need to worry about rent or her next meal. She and her father were doing great at maintaining the fashion shop and she was working here on the side also. She didn’t want to think about her distant mother.
He sounded like he was deeply overthinking the entire matter. All she could think was that she hadn’t actually asked at all. The question of whether or not had been directed at herself, as she had pointed out, but she might as well had. “Honey… relax,” she suggested with a little smile. “It’s normal to be taken aback when someone springs something like that on you,” and she wouldn’t classify herself as normal, “and I assure you I would take no offense at refusal.” Had I actually asked, she though, but left out. Let him dwell on the misunderstanding.
She had successfully made the conversation awkward for him, her glass was empty and she was starting to feel sleepy. The combination of these and something else made her draw out a few yuans and press them on the counter. Leisurely, she rose from her seat, padded over to him, lent down to plant a light kiss on his cheek (unless he drew away) as a hand paused briefly on his shoulder, and then started walking by him to make her way out of the Orchid Lounge. When she glanced back briefly she said “See you around, tiger.” She felt so very tipsy.

He nodded when she responded to his question about pro-bending. "I do too." He said looking around the place. It was starting to seem like an inviting place. He figured that he would have to come back here soon.... When ever his job would allow. "I'd like to join a team one day... But first things first." He said with a slight grin. He looked back down at his drink and took a small sip from it. It didn't seem quite as strong to him this time around... He didn't dwell on that thought though.
He let out a slight laugh. "Ok I'm glad I'm not one of the rare exceptions when it comes to that question." He said... He really didn't expect this to happen when he entered the Lounge. Sure he didn't really expect much to happen when he entered... Which may have been the reason he entered to begin with. Like he said he didn't normally plan these things. He looked at her. "Ok I'm glad you would understand if you had really meant it." He said trying to save his first impression... Not really his dignity, or his 'pride' but just so Sarza didn't get the wrong impression of him. THAT was something that worried him when meeting someone new.
He saw her put the yuans on the counter and though quickly. What did that mean? Oh right she's heading out. He hoped that is wasn't something he said. But then she got up and so he decided not to ask. When she placed the small kiss on his cheek he felt his face start to burn slightly. His eyes widened slightly when she did. Then when she pulled away he swallowed alittle... He was fair to say that he was somewhat nervous at the moment. He looked up at her and smiled he customary friendly smile... With a hint of confused shyness mixed in with it. "Ok see you around!" He said cheerfully. He didn't know how to reply to the 'tiger' part of what she said. So he figured he would just say 'see you.'
When she started to walk away he looked at the drink in his hand and took a breath then downed it. Then fought the urge to cough.... He won. He figured after meeting her what ever else could happen here wouldn't stack up. So he figured he would leave... But he didn't want to come across as following her. So he figured he would wait around for abit longer. Then he would leave.
