Shadow Canyon Institute is an alternative universe based heavily on Joanne (JK) Rowling Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Instead of following around Harry and those people and places that made his life so interesting, here at SCI, we are making the history of a magical school located within the South West American desert. There is no Harry, key figure, or war but only the creatures and environments from the world we know (unless we create it). There is a Ministry of Magic division and some similar academic activities for the students, but key figures to Rowling novels are nonexistent. We, creative writers, are going to embrace Rowling's magical world with our characters and creatures.
